Happy new year and

Welcome to 2024!

I am on holiday mode with the kids home from school and only finally managed to sit down now (12 days into the new year) to reflect on and farewell the year 2023.

Wow, last year was a year of ups and downs for me!

Amazing experiences I got to encounter, new people I met, things I learned, moments of laughter and love, growth, achievements and the list goes on.

One thing I was more or less forced to learn, embrace and embody in 2023 was to stress less.

I experienced burnout for the first time in my life and had to surrender to looking after myself on a mental and physical level much better than I ever had to before.

I did not publish a Full Moon Blog for the last month of 2023, which for me was a direct result of my own personal stress management and prioritizing.

I see so many people with burnout around me, or with sky high stress levels affecting their health and mental well being, and an ever growing pressure to just “get on with it”.

But we can look after ourselves better!

It is not always possible to reduce stress in your life, but you can learn to become stress smart and resilient.

Last year's life lesson has inspired me and my wonderful friend Maren Fritsche (Pilates instructor) to collaborate and offer a retreat (12th -14th April in Tasman) to you that will focus on stress management for the short and long term.

We will combine movement and group coaching as a pathway to short and long term stress management; both of us will be teaching and drawing on tools that we use for and on ourselves effectively to keep well as working mums in an ever faster spinning overworked world.

There will be plenty of time to relax and recharge in nature, soak in the hot tub, detox in the sauna, gaze in the fire or plunge in the pool. We will share amazing tasty and nutritious meals, a cacao tasting, a visionbard workshop to get creative and have fund and plenty of meaningful moments together. This is a prime opportunity to come together with like minded people and to make a shift that will allow you to grow, stress less and be healthier on a physical and mental level for good - so what are you waiting for?

It will be beautiful, delicious, raw, heartfelt and all of that with a splash of movement and a sense of unity and humour.

Let's go!

If you haven’t already, it’s a great idea to farewell the old year with a review focusing on all the nice things you got to experience, the new people you met, journeys and learnings you might have gone on, travels that you undertook, celebrating your achievements and focusing on the year from a place of gratitude in order to let it go on a positive note.

Tip: use the photos on your phone to jumpstart your brain for this reflection.

Much Love

Marisa
